Film Ameriki Tawil is one of Ziad Rahbani’s well known comedies that criticizes the situation in Lebanon at the early 1980’s. The play is a showcase of many samples: the revolutionary, the religiously-paranoid, the extremely neurotic, the drug-addict, the scary.
The poster is treated to give a grungy vernacular feeling with the hospital beds as the main elements, since the play takes place in a neurosis clinic. Two beds represent the regular dialogue between 2 characters. While the color and the typographic treatment portray the characteristics of the comedy.
The typeface used is GE Tasmeem, designed by Boutros International
